Course Components
Skin Care and Skin Therapy is an integral part of any successful beauty clinic or aesthetic practice. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of skin care for both in-clinic use and home based treatments. You will learn how to recommend the appropriate skin solutions to help achieve the results your clients desire.
This course also covers how to choose and perform common facial peels used in the industry. You will also learn about the functions and procedures of micro-needling, microdermabrasion, and treat certain skin conditions to enhance overall cosmetic therapy outcomes.

2. WORKSHOPS
The workshop will cover important theory information and focus mainly on the practical component. You will have hands-on experience on how to perform peels, microneedling and microdermabrasion. This is carried out in an actual medical aesthetics clinic, where health and safety standards are met according to local regulatory guidelines.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, you will have the ability to conduct a skin consultation and have an understanding of:
- How to use the Skin Scope equipment
- Identify the different skin types and conditions
- Treatment options for the appropriate skin types
- How to recommend and perform peels, microneedling and microdermabrasion
- Patient consultation for pre and post care
- REQUIREMENTS
Must have basic knowledge of skin science or have completed our course Fundamentals of Skin Science. You will be required to either participate as a model for the hands-on skin treatments, or bring along someone else to be your model.
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD) HoursThis course has been set up to be compliant with CPD guidelines. You may apply for CPD hours or points with this course as part of your self-directed learning component if it is relevant to your profession. You will receive 8 hours for the online component and 8 hours for the hands on workshop . You will receive a certificate upon completion of this course with the hours denoted. About Instructor

Sandy Diep is the Head Trainer for Skin Therapy at Aesthetics and Skin Institute. Sandy is a passionate skin therapist with years of experience in the medical aesthetics industry working in tandem with cosmetic doctors and nurses. Graduating from the prestigious Elly Lukas Beauty Therapy College, Sandy has gone on to practice in some of Australia's major skin clinics. She is currently also the lead trainer with Skintech Medical Cosmetic Clinics.
She prides herself in helping clients achieve beautiful skin and strives for them to walk out of the clinic with visible results and improved confidence. Sandy is excited to share the vast knowledge that she has gained from her clinical experience, as well as being trained and mentored by ASI's Medical Director Dr Ben Chan and other popular equipment manufacturers such as Merz and Cynosure. She is committed to helping her students build the confidence to treat various skin conditions using best-in-class skin therapy techniques.
